Natural Bridge of Virginia is a great limestone arch, 215 feet high, 90 feet long and varies in width of 50 to 150 feet. It spans Cedar Creek and supports highway US-11, although it is not visible from the road.

This national historic landmark was called by the Monacan Indians as "The Bridge of God" and was used as a place of worship. George Washington carved his initials into the stone and surveyed the property.

In 1774, Thomas Jefferson purchased the property from King George III for about 20 shillings, built a cabin for visitors and installed a caretaker.

A small pageant, "The Drama of Creation" is presented nightly beneath the arch.

Natural Bridge Caverns - 45-minute guided tour of the caves with stalagmites, stalactites, hanging gardens, underground streams and waterfalls.

Natural Bridge Wax Museum - over 150 historical figures are presented dioramas depicting early life in the Shenandoah Valley.
