    Harrisville Utah Stake

    1494th stake of the LDS Church was created on 23 Sep 1984 with Robert Lynn Nielsen as the first stake president.

    Harrisville was first settled by Mormon Pioneers in the early 1850s. The town is named for Martin Henderson Harris, nephew of the Book of Mormon witness and a early town settler. It was the site of the slaying of indian chief Terikee.

    Ogden Utah Temple

    One of only four temples in the Mormon Church to feature six ordinance rooms. This temple is currently going through a major renovation of the exterior building shell and surrounding temple grounds scheduled to be completed in 2014.

    This temple is the centerpiece of downtown Ogden. Visitors may also see the nearby historic Ogden Tabernacle and Pioneer Museum. The temple grounds are beautified by large water features, mature trees, and colorful landscaping.
