Little Cottonwood Canyon is home to two great Utah ski resorts - Alta and Snowbird, both of which see an average of 500 inches of snowfall each year.

Scenic Byway - SR-210
Little Cottonwood Canyon Wilderness Areas are located on both sides of the steep canyon. Summer recreational activities here include rock climbing, camping, picnicking and hiking. You can sometimes spot wild mountain goats on the rocky slopes above. At the mouth of the canyon is the site of the old Mormon pioneer granite quarry.
