Thanksgiving Point - Lehi UT

Ogden Pioneer Days Celebration (started in 1934) is one of Utah's largest parades, rodeos, cowboy poetry and music festival,
fireworks, concerts, equestrian events, community breakfasts, a golf tournament, a Car Show, and several other events.
Over 20 events and activities take place in a two-week period.
Lagoon Amusement Park
An older resort theme park located 17 miles north of Salt Lake City in Farmington.
Here you will find 35 thrill rides, six-acre beachfront waterpark and historic pioneer village.
Additionally there is live entertainment, shops, games and food.
This is the Place Heritage Park
Authentically-costumed volunteers will conduct a number of pioneer activities at this recreation of an early pioneer village.
Visitors will see quilting, weaving on a loom from the pioneer period, woodstove bread baking and butter churning (with samples for everyone).
Also watch for blacksmiths, furniture makers, doll-makers, and see how the Deseret News use to get printed just one page at a time.

Pioneer Memorial Museum
The Daughters of Utah Pioneers, founded in 1901, is actively working to preserve the history and artifacts of its Pioneer ancestors.
While the museum displays plenty of necessary objects fastened out of the scarce resources available in Utah,
the pioneers also leave a material record of remarkably ornate decorative arts.
Historic Gardner Village - West Jordan UT

Social Hall Heritage Museum - Temple Square
Discover an archeological dig in downtown Salt Lake City.
The remains of the Social Hall were uncovered in 1991 and a museum was erected to preserve them.
There settlers shook off the hardships of frontier life and enjoyed music, dancing, lectures, and the company of good friends.
The museum can be entered through a walkway just east of the ZCMI Center Mall or inside the ZCMI Center Mall at the east escalators.

Victorian Home built by Sariah and Henry Wheeler in 1886.
Ten room farmhouse mansion reflects great skill in architecture. Today it operates as a living historic farm.
East Canyon State Park - Morgan UT
East Canyon State Park is a 680-acre boating and year-round fishing delight nestled in the
mountains northeast of Salt Lake City. Although popular with water recreationists, East Canyon
is also an attraction for history buffs. Nearby trails mark the steps of the Donner Party and the first Mormon settlers.
July 24th - Pioneer Day
Some of the biggest festivities celebrate Pioneer Day, July 24, 1847,
when the first Mormon pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley. It's a state
holiday and many businesses are closed. There are many parades, rodeos
and festivals in communities statewide.
