31,165 acres (20,829 acres on the Uinta NF, 10,336 acres on the Wasatch-Cache NF).
This area contains very rugged terrain with narrow canyons and high peaks,
including the Little Matterhorn at 11,326 feet and Lone Peak at 11,253 feet.
Snow often remains on these alpine peaks until midsummer.

The Abbey of Our Lady of the Holy Trinity is a community of Catholic monks belonging to the Order of the Cistercian of the Strict Observance,
often called the Trappists. They arrived in Ogden Canyon in 1947.
They raise approximately 300 Hereford beef cattle. They tend colonies of bees and produce the honey to be sold in liquid or cream for sale to visitors.
