    The Daughters of Utah Pioneers, founded in 1901, is actively working to preserve the history and artifacts of its Pioneer ancestors. While the museum displays plenty of necessary objects fastened out of the scarce resources available in Utah, the pioneers also leave a material record of remarkably ornate decorative arts.

    This LDS University is the largest church-owned school in the nation and is highly ranked for offering a quality advanced education in the fields of agriculture, nursing, law, business, education, technology, sociology, communications, the arts, humanities and science.     University of Utah Campus Tour
    This educational complex occupies over 1,100 acres overlooking Salt Lake City at University and 13th East. Over 68 undergraduate programs are offered to a regularly enrolled student body of 26,000. Visitors may explore many museums, libraries and sporting events.

    LDS Museum of Church History and Art - Temple Square SLC
    Tells the story of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through educational exhibits and programs. The museum collects and displays Latter-day Saint art and artifacts worldwide in a way that offers an educational experience for the whole family.

    Utah Museum of Natural History
    State museum holds in trust artifacts and exhibits pertaining to the natural and cultural history of Utah. Wide range of minerals, gems, plants, animals and early inhabitants. There are also many children's interactive exhibits spread across the six major galleries.

    Utah Museum of Fine Arts
    Paintings and artwork span over 5,000 years. Includes Louis XIV furniture, 17th-century tapestries, Rubens paintings and special exhibits. Tours, lectures and traveling exhibits.


    U.S. military historical exhibits range from the 19th-century to Operation Desert Storm and includes uniforms, tanks and artillery guns. Fort Douglas is a former 9,000-acre military base located immediately east of the University of Utah.

    Ogden City Union Station
    This grand old train depot, built in 1924, was the hub of transcontinental rail traffic for over 50 years. Today it houses museums and galleries featuring railroad history, firearms, gems and minerals, classic cars and the arts. The Union Station is also the home of a restaurant, model train shop, large and small meeting rooms and a satellite police station.

    Chase Home Museum of Folk Art
    The only state museum of its kind in the country, the Chase Home Museum of Utah Folk Arts has become the place where traditional art and artists from Utah's ethnic, native, occupational and rural communities share their craft, music and dance with their own communities, their Utah neighbors and with tourists from around the world.

    Children's Museum of Utah
    Teaching exhibits with a lot of working gadgets from the real world brought down to a child's learning level. Lots of hands-on interaction includes: Airplane cockpit, Diesel truck, Kid's Town grocery store, gas station and ATM machine, Puppet show - behind the scenes operations, Obstacle course, Multicultural exhibits.

    Hill Aerospace Museum - Hill AFB
    The museum exhibits over 80 aircraft covering aviation history from the 1930's to the present plus an assortment of artwork, uniforms and flight suits. F-15 and F-16 fighter planes, SR-71 Black Bird spy plane, Rockets, bombs and missiles.

    Wheeler Historic Farm

    Victorian Home built by Sariah and Henry Wheeler in 1886. Ten room farmhouse mansion reflects great skill in architecture. Today it operates as a living historic farm.

    Over 3,000 dolls in a variety of dress themes and period costumes.

    John Hutchings Museum of Natural History
    The museum's objective is the preservation of artifacts and specimens for the education of future generations. Its inquisitive founder, Mr. Hutchings had amassed large collections of artifacts that soon overflowed buildings at home. By 1955 a museum was founded to house all of these items. Exhibits cover wildlife, archealogy, gems and minerals, ancient american native history and pioneer history.

    This is a detailed recreation of how this region would have looked in the age of the dinosaurs. 17 sculptures of mostly dinosaurs are found along a trail leading through a swamp, rockland, small lake and waterfall. Museum next door has dinosaur fossils and American Indian artifacts.

    This living history center celebrates the heritage and life-ways of the diverse peoples who lived in the West between 1820-1920 by attending the Festivals of the American West. Seven festival events spread throughout the year that focus on a special theme or topic.

    Alf Engen Ski Museum
    Located at Utah's Olympic Park in Park City with innovative exhibits depicting the history of skiing in Utah with a virtual reality ski theater.
