Utah Shakespearean Festival - Summer 2006
Located on the Southern Utah University campus in a replica
of the open-air Globe Theatre. Various Shakespeare and other major
productions on a rotational basis nightly during the summer.
Utah Summer Games - June
Three week super athletic challenge hosted each June in Cedar City.
Competition in running, archery, basketball, bowling, boxing, shooting, cycling, aquatics, equestrian,
golf, gymnastics, martial arts, extreme sports, soccer, tennis, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling and more.
Grand Staircase / Escalante National Monument
Newly established in September 1996 is 1.7 million acres of
multi-colored cliffs and mesas in Southern Utah, extending
from Bryce Canyon N.P. to
Lake Powell. The Escalante and Paria Rivers have carved out
two major canyon systems. Many red rock canyons, cliffs, rock formations,
and land bridges abound in this region.

Great Salt Lake State Park
State Marina offers spectacular views of sunsets over the Great Salt Lake and provides marina access for sailors, sculling enthusiasts, other boaters, and bird watchers.
A remnant of ancient Lake Bonneville, the Great Salt Lake covers more than 2,000 square miles and is several times saltier than the ocean.
The lake attracts more than 257 species of birds, depending on the season.
Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area
One of the premier fishing destinations in the U.S. Species include: German brown, lake, rainbow
and cutthroat trout; small-mouth bass; and kokanee salmon. Ice-fishing is popular during winter months.

Historic Temple Square

Rail Trail State Park
The Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail is a 28-mile non-motorized trail. The trail begins or ends in Park City and follows
Interstate 80 through Wanship and Coalville to Echo Reservoir. Activities include hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding,
jogging, Nordic skiing and wildlife watching.

Thanksgiving Point - Lehi UT
This theme park consists of one of the largest golf courses in Utah, 55 acres of gardens,

Hill Aerospace Museum - Hill AFB
The museum exhibits over 80 aircraft covering aviation history from the 1930's to the present plus an assortment of artwork, uniforms and flight suits.
F-15 and F-16 fighter planes, SR-71 Black Bird spy plane, Rockets, bombs and missiles.
