Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area
One of the premier fishing destinations in the U.S. Species include: German brown, lake, rainbow
and cutthroat trout; small-mouth bass; and kokanee salmon. Ice-fishing is popular during winter months.

Lake Powell Fishing
Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and striped bass swim in the midst of a scenic fishing wonderland.
Lake Powell has nearly 2,000 miles of fish-holding shoreline and provides a great fishing adventure.
Utah Lake State Park
This 96,600-acre lake is Utah’s largest freshwater lake and is a popular destination for
power boating, sailing, canoeing or kayaking, and also provides camping and day-use facilities.
Fishing opportunities include channel catfish, walleye, white bass, black bass and several different species of panfish.
Echo Reservoir
Echo Reservoir Contains rainbow and brown trout; channel catfish. Stocked with catchables
in the fall. Elevation is 5,500 feet. Take I-80 from Salt Lake or I-84 from Ogden to Coalville.
Resort, camping, picnicking. Private boat ramp. Limited foot access. Heavy water skier use.
More good fishing can be found nearby in Coalville on Weber River and Chalk Creek.
Willard Bay State Park
Willard Bay located in the northeast corner of the Great Salt Lake flood plain in northern Utah.
Its 9,900 acres of fresh water provide boating, waterskiing and year-round fishing for crappie, walleye, wiper and catfish.
Willard Bay State Park is popular for camping. Two state-owned facilities, North and South Marinas, are available to visitors.
Bear Lake
Anglers enjoy year-round fishing for cutthroat, mackinaw, cisco, and whitefish.
Lake trout (mackinaw) also inhabit the lake and may grow to 30 lbs.
Bear Lake is home to a trophy cutthroat trout fishery where the Idaho State record cutthroat of 19 lbs. was caught.
Ice-fishing during the winter is a popular activity.
There are four species of fish that cannot be found anywhere else including the Bonneville Cisco.
They move in close to shore to spawn in mid January and can be dip-netted through the ice.
Hyrum Dam State Park
Recreation opportunities here include fishing, boating, and camping. Surrounded by tall, shady trees, Hyrum provides an
excellent place for an afternoon picnic, or spend the whole weekend trolling on the lake catching yellow perch, rainbow trout, bluegill, and largemouth bass.

Prime adventure destination area in Northern Utah is convenient to Dinoland, Flaming Gorge,
Uintah Forest and other resote wilderness area. Many local guides services fishing, horses,
hunting, hiking, guest ranches and more.
