    Historic Temple Square
    The famous Mormon Temple, Tabernacle and Visitors Center of the LDS Church, located in downtown SLC.

    St. George Temple
    First Mormon Temple built in Utah in 1869-77 (and oldest continually functioning Mormon Temple today). Adjacent is the prominent 1863 red sandstone tabernacle. The temple is closed to the public however and adjacent visitors center is open to give tours of the tabernacle and temple grounds and explains the use of the temple and other Mormon beliefs. Several other historic LDS pioneer landmarks are in the area.
