US-1 : The Overseas Highway
Designated on maps as Federal Highway US-1 with over 100 miles of roadway,
the Overseas Highway runs across a long
series of highway bridges through the length of the Florida Keys. In many places along its
stretch, you can watch the sunrise over the Atlantic to the east and then later watch
the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico to the west.
Edward Medard Park - Plant City FL
1284-acre park found south of Plant City is a very popular Hillsborough County Park
with many trails available for hiking and horseback riding.
The central feature is a 700-acre reservoir used for boating, fishing and swimming.
Aldermans Ford Park - Lithia FL
East Hillsborough County Park - Enlarged to 1,141 acres, the scenic park includes the area where the Alafia River branches into its north and south prongs.
The Alafia is one of the most popular canoe spots in the state, and the park includes a modern, erosion-free canoe launch.
Several picnic areas are connected by a pedestrian/bicycle loop path, and a first-hand view
of the abundant plant life is available on a self guiding nature study via accompanying boardwalk and foot bridges.
Historic Bok Sanctuary - Haines City FL

Visitors there enjoy the serenity and beauty of the 157-acre Olmsted-designed landscape garden.
Music from a 60-bell carillon fills the garden daily and is a popular destinations
for weddings, receptions and special events.
Hillsborough River State Park - Thonotosassa FL
One of Florida's original state parks and is rich in history and natural beauty.
There are many activities are available at the park by which visitors can access and enjoy this area.
Attractions include campgrounds, popular riveredge hiking trail and replica of 1837 Seminole war fort.
Lake Kissimmee State Park
White-tailed deer, bald eagles, sandhill cranes, turkeys, and bobcats have been seen in the park,
located on the shores of lakes Kissimmee, Tiger, and Rosalie. Visitors enjoy boating,
canoeing, and fishing in the picturesque lakes. Nature students can hike over 13 miles of trails to observe and study the abundant plant and animal life. Six miles of trails are open to equestrians.
