    The school of choice for some 5300 students pursuing some 100 areas of study and pre-professional programs in business, sciences and the liberal arts. Graduate programs are offered for Teaching, Business Administration, Nursing, and Innovation Management.

    Henry B Plant Museum

    The museum is located in the south wing and features European and Orient artifacts and a permanent exhibit on the Spanish-American War of 1898 in which the City of Tampa played a major role. The 1891 Tampa Bay Hotel, now a National Historic Landmark, is home to The University of Tampa and the Henry B. Plant Museum. During the 1880’s, Henry Bradley Plant was building an empire of railroads, steamships and hotels. He wanted that empire to have a palace and that palace was the Tampa Bay Hotel.

    This gallery exhibits works of art as an extension of the classroom, providing an opportunity to view and study significant original artwork by contemporary national, international and regional artists. They also features work by fine arts faculty, alumni and students during scheduled exhibitions, receptions, lectures and performances.

    Tampa University Music Ensembles
    Ensembles at the University provide opportunities for students to perform on campus, in the community and in other parts of the country.

  • Collegiate Chorale - A select mixed chorus, this vocal ensemble sings traditional and contemporary choral music and is the featured ensemble at UT’s annual Family Christmas Concert.
  • Opus - A select vocal ensemble with a repertoire from mostly from musical theater. The popular group presents a major program each semester that features ensemble pieces, as well as solos and duets.
  • The Tampa Oratorio Chorus - a community/university chorus in residence at The University of Tampa.
  • Chamber Orchestra - performs a traditional to modern repertoire for small orchestra.
  • UT Wind Ensemble - A premiere wind and percussion ensemble, their repertoire includes music from all style periods, ranging from traditional major works to the latest compositions for full band and variable-sized wind ensembles.
  • UT Jazz Ensemble - A big-band of saxophones, trumpets, trombones and rhythm section that plays everything from traditional swing charts to contemporary jazz.
  • UT Pep Band - As the “Stewards of UT Spirit,” the Pep Band performs up-tempo popular tunes at a variety of University and community events.
  • Performance Class - Piano students prepare and perform a variety of solo works, accompaniments, piano concerti, and multiple piano pieces.
  • Chamber Ensembles - Small ensembles at UT include Clarinet Choir, Double Reed Ensemble, Saxophone Quartet, Brass Quintet, Low Brass Choir, Percussion Ensemble, and Guitar Ensemble.

    Minaret Concert Series

    The University of Tampa and the Department of Music proudly present the Minaret Concert Series, which features faculty artists. All concerts are free and open to the public.

    Student theatrical productions take place at David Falk Theatre, a fully-equipped, thousand-seat theater originally built in 1928. The University of Tampa celebrates musical theatre and the performing arts through four main stage productions each year: two musicals and two traditional shows. Auditions, which are held during the second week of class, are open to all students on campus. The department also sponsors two cabarets per year. Each year, student performers participate in the Spring Dance Concert and Dance Happening, both of which are open to all students.

    UT Sports Facilities

  • McNiff Fitness Center - An Olympic-size swimming pool, tennis and handball courts, newly resurfaced jogging track, outdoor basketball and volleyball courts, crew training facility and a modern fitness facility.
  • The Bob Martinez Sports Center - 3,432-seat area plays host to varsity volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, intramural and recreational activities and other events throughout the year.
  • Pepin Stadium - considered the finest soccer venue in NCAA II and has been the site of two national championship finals in the 1990s.
  • Bailey Baseball Field -
  • UT Softball Complex - located directly behind the Bob Martinez Sports Center. The field was built in 1989 and has seating room for approximately 200 spectators.
