North Miami (pop: 65,600) is the fourth largest city in Miami-Dade County. An early 1800's farm community that was transformed in the 1920s land boom of the area. This city is located on the edge of Biscayne Bay.
This place dates back 1856 when the military cut a trail to Miami that made us of a 40-foot natural limestone bridge that crossed Arch Creek here. The bridge no longer stands. The original settlement here was called Arch Creek.
