Adventure Tips Resort Overview - Key West Atlantic Shores resort

Tour Key West Florida

The last and most exciting of the Florida Keys. Today’s visitors stroll along the Historic Harbor Walk overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Follow US-1, the famous Overseas Highway through the fabulous Florida Keys, to its end in America’s southernmost city.

Atlantic Shores Resort
510 South Street, Key West FL 33040-3118 US

Atlantic Shores Resort is Key West's Only Oceanfront Alternative Resort with a very diverse clientele in what we feel is the most open, inclusive, exciting and entertaining environments on the island. 72 clean, affordable rooms are located on the south, oceanside of Key West in the historic, old-town area.

Hotel amenities include the Diner Shores restaurant, full bar, and oceanfront pool (clothing optional) and Pier Bar. Guests can also use the pool and beach next door (clothing required). On Thursday nights, the hotel hosts an outdoor cinema and on Sunday nights they have a traditional outdoor tea dance. The hotel also provides complete access to all of Key West's water activities: wave runners, parasail rides, sail boat rentals, snorkel and dive trips, fishing trips, sunset sails, gambling trips, and more.

Tour Dry Tortugas National Park
A clustor of seven tiny, uninhabited coral reef islands located about 70 miles west of Key West, in the Gulf of Mexico. These islands are the crowded home to thousands of nesting and migrating sea birds.

Tour Key West Aquarium - Mallory Square
The aquarium is exhibits marine life native to the Florida Key waters and dates back to the early 1930's. The Aquarium features a wide variety of fish including grouper, moray eels, barracuda, tropical fish, tarpon, sharks, parrotfish and much, much more. During your tour, you will even be able to pet a live shark! Also see turtles and exotic birds.

Tour Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary
The 2,800 square nautical mile Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS) surrounds the entire archipelago of the Florida Keys and includes the productive waters of Florida Bay, the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Cultural resources are also contained within the sanctuary. The proximity of coral reefs to centuries old shipping routes has resulted in a high concentration of shipwrecks and an abundance of artifacts. The Sanctuary includes three major habitats - coral reef, mangroves and seagrasses.
