      Sombrero Reef Light Tower
      This offshore landmark is located on coral reef about four miles offshore. 25 feet below the surface is large submarine reef habitat, home to Parrotfish and Angelfish.

        Thunderbolt Wreck - One of fifty prime dive spots in the area. This research vessel shipwreck lies upright about 120 feet below the surface.

      Sportfishing
      Marathon is an exciting place for anglers - Tarpon fishing, deep-sea fishing, reef fishing, bay fishing, flats fishing, backcountry fishing, bridge fishing and more.

        Tarbon Fishing - The 'Silver King' challenges anglers with its spectacular leaps, strong runs, and tough endurance. Best action found at Seven Mile and Bahia Honda bridges. Best way for a novice to catch a large fish.
        Offshore Fishing - Sailfish, dolphin fish, wahoo, marlin, Mako shark, blackfin tuna, amberjack and a host of other big game fish.
        Reef Fishing - Yellowtail, mangrove, mutton snapper, grouper, mackerel and barracuda are found hiding amidst the many natural and artificial reefs.
        Bay Fishing - Hundreds of natural ledges and platforms are found gulfside between 5 and 15 miles north of Marathon.
