Tampa International Airport [TPA]
Tampa International Airport is served by most major airlines which provide nonstop daily service to more than 70 national and international destinations - located six miles west of Downtown Tampa. This airport first opened in 1928 as the 160-acre Drew Field. During World War II it saw service as Drew Army Airfield. In 1950 Drew Field was renamed Tampa International Airport.

World's Greatest Aircraft Collection

One of the nation's premier aviation attractions, Fantasy of Flight exhibits many vintage aircraft, portraying the golden eras of aviation from the 1920s and World War II era. General Admission includes Parking, Immersion, Environments Experience, Fightertown, Sheet Metal & Aircraft Assembly Tour, Engine Bay & Machine shop tour, Tram Tour, Video Presentations & Aircraft of the Day. Fantasy of Flight is home to the "World's Greatest Aircraft Collection" featuring over 70 beautifully restored rare and vintage aircraft, WWII flight simulators, daily restoration shop & back-lot tours, aircraft of the day flights, sight and sound multi-sensory immersion experiences and a gift shop. The art deco "Compass Rose Diner" is open daily for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Seasonal biplane rides and hot air balloon adventures are available.

Located 4 miles southwest of Lakeland's downtown area, Lakeland Linder Regional is an ideal choice for pilots and travelers. Air Traffic Control Services 16 hours a day, seven days a week. This tower is an FAA contract tower.
Runway 9/27 - 8,500 ft long and can handle most aircraft available today.
Runway 5/23 - 5,000 ft long and is our precision runway for our users of the ILS.

Florida Aviation Museum and Education Center - Lakeland FL
This museum features Florida's aviation history through exhibits, restoration and preservation projects. Its collection includes historic military, factory-built, kit-built, and ultra-light aircraft as well as aviation artifacts from throughout the world. The F.A.M. complex includes two museum buildings and the Emil Buehler Restoration Center.
