So. California Mountain Ski Resorts
There are six major ski resort areas operating in the San Bernardino Mountains, less than one hour away from the
greater metropolitan area. Activities offer include traditional alpine skiing, snowboarding, family winter fun zones, ski schools
and more. Ski season usually runs from December to April. And during the off-season,
these mountain areas are also a great place to visit to enjoy suberb scenic vistas.
California Speedway
Two-mile D-shaped oval motorsports racetrack that is 75 feet wide with 15-foot apron and 14-degree turn banking.
The grandstand has accumulated a total capacity for 92,100 and includes 28 skyboxes since they opened in 1997 on the site of the old Kaiser Steel mill.

In 1968, the minor-league San Diego Padres become a Major League Baseball
team and play their first game in the newly built (1967) QualComm Stadium.
In 1998 the Padres won the National League pennant but lost the World Series to the
New York Yankees.
Anaheim Angels - A.L. West
Renovations to Anaheim Stadium began Oct. 1, 1996, reverting the 30-year old structure back to a baseball-only facility.
On Sept. 15, 1997, the renovated stadium's new name was announced: Edison International Field of Anaheim.
San Diego Chargers -
The Chargers were one of the original eight teams of the AFL founded in 1960.
In the years since then, the Chargers have made seven trips to the playoffs and three appearances in the
AFC Championship game. At the end of the 1994 season, the Chargers faced the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XXIX and fell 49-26.
