Borrego Springs
600,000 acre Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, the largest state park in the contiguous United States and
voted the #1 state park in California by National Geographic. This area was first traversed by Spanish explorer
Juan Batiste de Anza in 1774. Another 100 years would pass before the first settlers would come to stay and inhabit
this area. Visitors can traverse canyons full of desert palms, ancient pictographs, majestic cactus and early spring wildflowers.

San Diego Chargers -
The Chargers were one of the original eight teams of the AFL founded in 1960.
In the years since then, the Chargers have made seven trips to the playoffs and three appearances in the
AFC Championship game. At the end of the 1994 season, the Chargers faced the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XXIX and fell 49-26.

Winter training home of this famous Naval performance flight group
is located on the western side of the Imperial Valley. They are based
out of NAF El Centro.

The Salton Sea is California's largest lake. During winter months
it is home to over four million birds (representing over 400 species).
It is located at about 228 feet below sea level below sea level.
