Museum of Making Music - Carlsbad Ranch
Located at the headquarters of NAMM (National Association of
Music Merchants) next to Legoland;
Exhibits date back to 1890 to trace this history of innovations in
popular music. Over rare 450 musical instruments on display in a 6,500 sq. ft.
exhibit space divided into five major themes. Research library and archives are also available. Their goal
is to preserve, exhibit and promote the history of the music products industry.

Carlsbad Music Festival - Carlsbad CA [1st Week in Sept]
- an annual weeklong alternative classical music festival featuring cutting-edge, world-class young musicians (including several with roots in Carlsbad) performing fresh and compelling music in concert and in the community.
First founded in 2003 by composer, Matt McBane for its first festival in the spring of 2004. It has since received great press and drawn large and enthusiastic audiences to its concerts in the coastal California city of Carlsbad.
