OC Marathon [JAN]
Both Marathon and Half Marathon Race begins at the Newport Center near Newport Harbor and runs up past UC Irvine to the Spectrum Center.
San Diego Marathon - Carlsbad Village [JAN]
Very popular as one of the flatest and fastest of marathons as follows the scenic Coast Highway along the Pacific Ocean.
Events include marathon, half-marathon and fitness expo. This course usually features ideal race conditions.
Bakersfield Half Marathon - Kern River [JAN]
The course is a flat, fast out and back on a bike path along the Kern River to the West from Yokuts Park. This is a good course for a PR.

Surf City USA Marathon - Huntington Beach Pier [FEB]
Formerly the Pacific Shoreline Marathon runs on Super Bowl Sunday Morning -
This exclusive oceanfront course is a classic California Dream. Run by the Huntington Beach pier and wind through the famed surfing beaches of Southern California.
Retro surf bands entertain along the way and the Finish Line Festival includes a beach side beer garden in the California sun. Finishers receive bodacious surfboard medals!
San Dieguito Half Marathon - Rancho Santa Fe [FEB]
Starts and ends at San Dieguito County Park. Scenic course through Rancho Santa Fe. This is one of the most beautiful and scenic courses you will ever run.
Includes 5K Run/Walk Course.
Buffalo Run Half Marathon - Catalina Island [FEB]
Very challenging, hilly course on the East End of Catalina Island. Approximate 8 mile climb in dirt fire roads until the descent back into Avalon.
This half marathon course takes you from sea level to a 1600 foot elevation then returns to sea level. Spectacular views of San Clemente Island and Avalon.
This race also features the popular flat and fast Pebbly Beach 5K course on the paved road out to Pebbly Beach.
Palm Springs Half Marathon [FEB]
Half Marathon Race, Half Marathon Relay & 5K Race.
Ventura Half Marathon & 5K Race [FEB]
Out and back flat course, gentle grade going out, gentle downhill return, along the Ventura River bike path. 6 water stations.
Since Feb 2000, this event normally runs on the 2nd Sunday at Westpark in West Ventura.
Death Valley Trail Marathon [FEB]
This is a scenic trail run along Westside Road, a dirt jeep road that runs parallel to Badwater Road along the valley floor and crosses the wide salt pan known as Devil's Golf Course.
Both distances run out-and-back along the flat course, which is entirely below sea level and surrounded by undisturbed desert wilderness.
Catalina Island Marathon - Catalina Island [MAR]
Runners World 2007 ranked this race as the #1 off-road marathon in the world.
Enjoy some of the most breathtaking scenery while running 26.2 miles over the Island of Catalina.
The race traverses mostly dirt trails and roads through areas of the interior of the Island where very few have gone. The race starts in Two Harbors and runs to Avalon.
Los Angeles Marathon [MAR]
The first L.A. Marathon attracted 10,868 participants, making it the largest inaugural marathon in history.
The largest single-day sporting event east of the Pacific and west of the Mississippi.
Race features live entertainment and finish line festival.
Over 100,000 people gather annually in this area to enjoy music, food and the many sponsor exhibits offering a wide away of fun for the entire family.
Six Tunnels Half Marathon - Lake Mead NV [MAR]
Try something really different. Run is on old railroad track long since removed and now part of the Rail-to-Trails Conservancy and the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
We run right above Lake Mead for entire event where the runner passes through six (6) tunnels on this course in each direction.
La Jolla Half Marathon - [Late Apr]
The La Jolla Half Marathon is one of America's most picturesque and challenging runs. Starting adjacent to the Del Mar Fairgrounds main entrance,
the course follows a scenic route along the coast before reaching the challenging climb to the summit of Torrey Pines State Park.
Suzuki Rock N Roll Marathon [Early Jun]
Voted by Runner's World as one of the top 10 most fun marathons to run.
With live bands and cheerleaders at every mile, a stellar post-race party and an evening headliner concert.
The Finish Line Festival features live music, refreshments and food in Mission Bay San Diego.
San Francisco Marathon [JUL]
The San Francisco Marathon is the Coolest Summer Marathon - The race course takes runners on a scenic tour of this California city, including running over the
Golden Gate Bridge. Race events include a Full Marathon, two Half Marathons (choose a half), 5K, and Progressive Marathon.
Camp Pendleton Half Marathon [SEP]
This race draws over 1,000 runners who compete for awards in 50 categories on a 13.1 mile all gravel off-road course.
Disneyland Half Marathon - Anaheim CA [SEP]
The course starts at Anaheim Convention Center and heads direct through Disney's California Adventure® Park to the Disneyland® Park.
Then it is on to the scenic streets of Anaheim, past the Honda Center, home of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, along the Santa Ana Trail overlooking the Santa Ana River, through Angel Stadium,
and finally back through Disney's California Adventure® Park for an exciting finish of the Happiest Race on Earth.
Pier to Peak Half Marathon - Santa Barbara CA [SEP]
Santa Barbara's Challenging Half-Marathon takes you from the famous Santa Barbara Friendship Dolphins Fountain at the edge of Stearns Wharf,
past the "Queen of the Missions" and on up an elevation of 3996 feet to the Majestic views at La Cumbre Peak.
Maui Marathon [SEP]
The Maui Marathon course is undoubtedly one of the most scenic marathon courses in the world with over 17 miles of oceanfront running.
The race starts in the darkness so that you can witness the beauty of a Hawaiian sunrise while running.

City to the Sea Mini Marathon - San Luis Obispo CA [OCT]
Half Marathon point to point course - starts in quaint downtown San Luis Obispo and heads south, continuing on beautiful country roads to picturesque Shell Beach Road. The last two miles are slightly
downhill with a stunning ocean view. The race finishes in Pismo Beach at Dinosaur Caves Park.
Long Beach Marathon [OCT]
This fall marathon starts on Shoreline Drive, pass the Pike at Shoreline Village over Queensway Bridge to the bow of the Queen Mary.
Circle the Aquarium of the Pacific, the Lighthouse and Rainbow Harbor and head down to the beach. Participate in one of America’s most scenic Marathons. It’s Fast, Flat and Fun.
Santa Clarita Marathon [NOV]

This revised looped course follows 26.2 miles of roadways, paved City trails, and paseos.
Bakersfield 2nd Half Marathon [NOV]
This course heads East from Yokuts Park on the bike path along the Kern River.
Also an out and back course designed for quick times. Sponsored by Bakersfield Track Club.
Las Vegas International Marathon [DEC]
This race starts outside the Mandalay Bay Resort and runs the length of the Las Vegas Strip to
the Fremont Street Experience and then west Torrey Pines Dr and back to the Mandalay Bay.
There is also a Half Marathon. Many of Las Vegas' famous celebrity performers provide live
entertainment during the race.
Valley of Fire Marathon [NOV]
Out and back course through the Valley of Fire State Park in Southern Nevada.
This course features scenic rolling hills through beautiful red rock formations.
Rose Bowl Half Marathon & 5K [DEC]
Competitors will run past some of Pasadena’s greatest landmarks including the Rose Bowl,
the Colorado Bridge, the Arroyo Seco, Devil’s Gate Dam, JPL, and the new Flintwash Bridge.
A major course section runs on the nature trails of Hahamonga Watershed Park.
Death Valley Borax Marathon [DEC]
You'll admire the beauty of the surrounding desert as you follow this paved run from Furnace Creek Ranch along SR-190 through the heart of Death Valley National Park.
The entire course is below sea level with fantastic vistas of the surrounding mountain ranges: the Panamints, the Funerals, the Cottonwoods, the Blacks and the Grapevines.
Southern California Half Marathon & 5K Race - Irvine CA [DEC]
The Southern California Half Marathon evolved from the success that Woodbridge High School enjoyed in the renowned Woodbridge High School Cross Country Classic.
Honolulu Marathon [DEC]
