Legoland California
Legoland is the first park of its kind to be built in the USA.
Designed primarily to give a fun educational play experience to young children ages 2-12.
The many attractions, rides, shows and play areas feature the bright cheerful Lego colors and toys.
Also look for the many kids shows and kid friendly dining venues.
SeaLife Aquarium
Legoland's big 36,000 square foot sealife aquarium exhibit is located just to the left of the main gate.
The first floor is slated to include a freshwater stream, a children's maze, an area for harbor animals, a theater, a toddler water play zone and a classroom.
A restaurant, a sea horse display area, a ray tank and nature discovery area are planned for the second floor.
Lego Toys and Games
This place has it all - Mindstorm Robots, Lego, Duplo, Trains, Video Games, Computer Games -
everything any true young Lego Fan would want to play with. And a whole lot more.
History of Lego
Trivia and online resources to learn more about Lego Bricks.
The primary focus is fun and educational experiences for families
with young children. There are over 40 major fun rides and activities
designed primarily for youngsters ages 2-12. Legoland's goal is to
let the whole family explore creativity type themes.
Legoland Park has six major regions. Additionally at The Beginning
you can find Lego merchandise for sale and guest services. There is a
large Lake in the center of the park where you can get boat
tours of various models and of Miniland.
Take a moment to appreciate the lush landscaping of the parks.
Just one year before the park opened - this whole area was barren field.
Landscapers planted 5,500 trees and 25,000 scrubs and created all
topographical features from scratch.
Miniland Las Vegas - New March 2007
The family theme park in Carlsbad unveiled its largest Miniland expansion ever with the recreation of the fabulous Las Vegas Strip made entirely out of LEGO(R) brick.
Miniland Las Vegas features the world-famous Strip including ten different hotel properties chosen for their unique style. "The Strip" at LEGOLAND
also features a miniature wedding chapel, monorails and real life sounds recorded in Las Vegas.
Pirate Shores - NEW WATERPARK - SUMMER 2006
It features several giant waterworks playground structures topped by a giant bucket that
dumps 600-gallons of cold water on the crowd every few minutes. Very popular for
the younger crowd (ages 2-11) especially on hot summer days.
Best Thrill Rides
Legoland is primarily targeted for young children (ages 2-12) so even
their roller coasters are designed specifically for that crowd. With that in
mind you will find that even the older kids will enjoy the following:
Aquazone Wave Racers -
First thrill ride in North America to feature power ski racers
that weave through an arena of water blasts triggered by the
spectators. They even let you ride as a member of the Hydronaut
or Stingray battle forces. Located in Imagination Zone.
Lego Technic Coaster -
This new trill ride is something different. Test drivers maneuver
a life-sized Technic vehicle through twists, dips and razor-sharp turns.
Actually this coaster has the sharpest turns of just about anything.
Dragon Coaster - Wild ride through a medieval castle.
Spellbreaker - New thrill
ride that even the youngest kids can go on. My two year old rode strapped
to my lap (and he wanted to do it again).
Special Events
