So. California Mountain Ski Resorts
There are six major ski resort areas operating in the San Bernardino Mountains, less than one hour away from the
greater metropolitan area. Activities offer include traditional alpine skiing, snowboarding, family winter fun zones, ski schools
and more. Ski season usually runs from December to April. And during the off-season,
these mountain areas are also a great place to visit to enjoy suberb scenic vistas.

Newly created boating and fishing recreation area. The lake is heavily stocked with largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, rainbow
trout, bluegill, sunfish, catfish and perch. Fishing is by reservation only with strict limitations. The lake is
owned and operated by the Metropolitan Water District and they prohibit any water contact sports (i.e. no swimming, water-skiing,
etc). The lake is 4 miles long by 2 miles wide with dams at both ends.
Lake Elsinore State Park
2,954 acres located just west of Elsinore on SR-74.
Activities available include:
camping,
fishing,
watersports,
boating.
Lake Perris State Park
8,000 acres located about four miles northeast of Perris on
the Ramona Expressway. Activities available include:
camping,
fishing,
watersports,
visitor center,
boating and
wilderness trails.
Silverwood Lake State Park
2,200 acres located just east of Cajon Junction on SR-138.
Activities available include:
camping,
fishing,
watersports,
visitor center,
boating and
wilderness trails.
Holcomb Valley Scout Reservation - BSA Camp SGVC
Located north of Big Bear Lake;

This Boy Scout camp facility is located in the San Bernardino Mountains at 7500' elevation in a remote location halfway
between mountain meadows and brilliant sunsets. Formerly used as a cattle ranch and movie set it still
today retains the original ranch house and barn. Includes opportunities for scouts to earn
merit badges for long range nature hikes, archery and rifle range, horseback riding, astronomy,
sports, swimming, weather, indian lore, geology and much more.

Heritage Farms Oak Glen
Several Working Living History Farms and Apple Orchards are located near scenic Oak Glen,
high in the hills above Yucaipa. The farms grows apples, blackberries, cherries, pumpkins and raspberries.
Several homesteads host a wide range of living history festivals and themed dinner shows
from the civil war, colonial era, pioneer era and other great legends.
