Restored U.S. Army Dragoon post dating back to 1854-64. The troops were responsible for the security of Southern California. Also home to the experimental U.S. Camel Corps - 34 camels that hauled supplies from San Antonio and help to survey the California-Nevada region. Small museum onsite.
