One of the most popular tourism destinations, this waterfront marketplace is a hub for
several major centers including the Anchorage, The Cannery, Ghirardelli Square and Pier 39.
This historic wharf was founded in the early days of California at the closest point
between the entrance to the bay and downtown San Francisco. At its peak it bustled with
the activity of Sicilian and Genoese fishermen.
Today it is one of the most popular attractions in San Francisco noted for its many
picturesque sites and pungent smells. It is jammed with over 100
seafood restaurants and steaming crab pot markets. Also there is no shortage of tacky T-shirt
and souvenir shops. Best buys are fresh seafood and sourdough bread.
Fish Alley Find a huge supply of fresh sole, shrimp, salmon, sea bass, squid and other deep sea
delicacies. Watch for crab season (Nov-June).

This building was originally founded in 1907 as Del Monte's Plant #1 (a peach cannery).
Today it is home to over 30 shops and restaurants. Located at the corner of Leavenworth
and Beach, just a half-block from the Hyde street cable car turnaround.

This center is home to over 70 fabulous shops and restaurants but was first
founded as the Woolen Mill in 1864. It shortly thereafter became very famous

Today, GGYC is a popular cruise and regatta venue on the San Francisco waterfront,
