    The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints welcomes you to the visitors' center and the grounds of the Oakland California Temple. Stroll around the beautifully manicured grounds for one of the best views of the bay area. Enjoy a free guided tour of the visitors' center and see exhibits and interactive video representations about Jesus Christ, the purpose of life, and families. Gaze at the splendid reproduction of Thorvaldsen's Christus.

    Pageant Held on 3rd and 4th weekends in July.
    Admission is free; however, tickets are required because of limited seating.
    Enjoy a full symphony orchestra, a 450-voice balcony chorus, actors, soloists, a stage chorus, and dancers. A multitalented cast reenacts the history of God's Church on earth, beginning with the life and teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Discover the challenges Joseph Smith Jr. and others faced as they were instruments in the restoration of God's Church and lost truths.

    Church operated museum commerating the 1847 completion of the longest infantry march in US History, over 2000 miles from Council Bluffs, Iowa to San Diego. The Mormon Battalion consisted of five companies that totaled over 500 men. Multimedia presentations, historic artifacts and paintings.

    13th Operating temple of the LDS Church, the Oakland Temple is the only one built with a modern five-spire design and Oriental motif. On the north and south faces of the temple are two decorative friezes, and it is the last temple to have such.
