This a World War II Liberty Ship berthed
at pier 32. It is the only operating liberty ship still in its original
condition. Watch for "steaming weekends" - usually the 3rd weekend of the
month - when the ship's engine, galley and store are put into operation.
Located at Pier 45, at the end of Taylor St, this genuine
World War II Submarine saw extensive action in the Pacific
theater. This boat is open to public tour which
requires ducking through a lot of low bulkheads.
Located at Hyde Street Pier, the Balclutha is a late 19th
century three-masted square-rigger sailing vessel. Launched in
Scotland in 1886, it transported coal, wine and hardware between
Europe and California sailing around Cape Horn.
