Round trip ride on a steam engine train departs daily from Chama, NM at 10:30AM. All-day trip goest to Osier, CO which is inaccessible by car. There passengers have a choice of connecting with the Colorado Limited which travels onwards to Antonito, CO or take the round-trip return ride. Another favorite option is to stay here overnight.
The old, narrow-gauge coal-burning trains afford exciting views of the scenic San Juan and Sangre de Cristo mountain ranges. Travel over 64 miles of the original Rio Grande line through valleys, tunnels, gorges, trestles of the Colorado / New Mexico border territory. This is a National Historic Railroad owned by Colorado and New Mexico.
