The Stratosphere features 2,444 spacious rooms including 220 luxurious suites, all at fantastic values. Many of the rooms have unobstructed and unparalleled views of the Las Vegas Strip. Each spacious room features either a king size bed or two queen size beds and a wide array of amenities. In addition, non-smoking and wheelchair-accessible rooms are available.

A wide range of services are offered to each Stratosphere hotel guest:

The Stratosphere boasts an 80,000 square-foot casino featuring 44 table games and 1,551 of the hottest slot and video poker machines. Also available are race and sports books and keno.

New Swimming Pool: Opened on June 22, 2001, as part of the $75 million tower expansion project is the 67,000 square-foot resort pool and recreation deck. The deck is located on the eighth floor of the new room tower. In addition to the spacious swimming pool, the deck features an oversize spa, a waterfall, private cabanas and a special events area. There is also a poolside café, a full-service bar and a shop for poolside accessories.

Summer 2001, Stratosphere opens a 24-story expansion tower with an additional 1,000 rooms. Additional amenities include a 67,000 square-foot resort-style pool, recreation deck and the new Courtyard Buffet, an expanded and transformed buffet that replaces what was formerly the Stratosphere Buffet. Also new is the 3,606-seat outdoor events center.

The Stratosphere opened to the public in 1996. Afterwards financier Carl Icahn acquires a controlling interest and is pushing forward with expansion tower.

At 1,149 feet, the Stratosphere Tower is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River.

From the observation decks, lounge, restaurant, meeting, banquet and private dining rooms, guests enjoy panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip and the surrounding valley.

Visitors are whisked from ground level to the observation decks in less than 30 seconds in double decker elevators traveling at speeds of 1,800 feet per minute or three floors a second.

Thrill seekers can enjoy excitement over 100 stories above the ground on the Big Shot thrill ride and the High Roller roller coaster. For the less daring, there is the Strat-O-Fair midway attraction. The Strat-O-Fair features a renovated Ferris Wheel circa 1958, and a child size Little Shot. The décor is a 1960s view of the future and is complete with 3-D Hyper Bowl, midway games and two food outlets.

The Tower is open from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, Saturday and holidays. The tower is equipped with a special lighting system designed to provide a spectacular dancing light show nightly, which is visible throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Viva Las Vegas

American Superstars
In the evening, American Superstars showcases tributes to today's and yesterday's hottest stars including Elvis Presley, Madonna, Gloria Estefan, Charlie Daniels, Michael Jackson and Ricky Martin. Top of the World Lounge
A most unique and intimate lounge high above the Las Vegas Strip overlooking all of Las Vegas. The smooth sounds of "Avenue" performs Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 8:30pm until 12:30am and Friday and Saturday from 9:30pm until 1:30am.

Tower Shops at Stratosphere

An international marketplace with a little something for everyone. You'll enjoy the themed streets scenes reminiscent of Paris, Hong Kong and New York City. The Tower Shops house a variety of shops and an array of specialty retail carts throughout the cosmopolitan streets.

The selection of stores and eateries offer delights for customers of all ages. Whether you are in the mood for ice cream, a new fragrance, a pair of shoes or a fun novelty gift, plan a visit soon to the themed shopping center.
