With 5,005 rooms in thirty stories and eight major onsite restaurants it is currently the largest resort hotel in the U.S. and the largest casino in the world. The resort's major draw is the wide breadth of non-gaming tourism attractions located on its 112-acre complex which includes a 33-acre movie and entertainment based theme park.

Lion Habitat
MGM Grand opened (in 1999) the $9 Million tri-story Lion Habitat. This facility is home to several of the MGM movie mascots. Free Admission. Open 11AM-11PM.

The MGM Grand is located on the northeast corner of Tropicana Avenue and The Strip. Directly in front is that very distinctive 45-foot-tall MGM Lion sitting on a 25-foot-tall pedestal surrounded by a huge digital display.

On Tropicana Ave is a second entrance which is primarily for arriving hotel guests. Its lobby takes you directly to over 50 hotel check-in windows.

This hotel has comfortable guest rooms with large baths. Rooms are decorated in either Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, Wizard of Oz, or Hollywood themes. Higher floor rooms have exceptional view of Las Vegas. Because of the huge size of the hotel we recommend checking in early (avoid the late Friday evening crunch). Online Room Reservations - normal rates run $70-140.

There are four major casino areas here all with high ceilings:

This comedy club is located in the MGM Grand's Center Stage Cabaret. Admission is $16-18 and features 2-4 comedians in two shows, 8 and 10:30PM nightly. Call 891-7777 for tickets and reservations.
