The Luxor Hotel is a large thirty story (4,476 rooms) bronze and black glass casino pyramid. A 10-story sphinx is the main entrance. The architecture plays upon various themes of Egyptian archealogy. Once inside boats transport you along the Nile River to your key portions of the resort.

Pyramid Rooms: The Pyramid has 2,256 pyramid rooms
Jacuzzi Suites: 236 luxorious Jacuzzi suites (two at each corner of each floor in the pyramid) with elegant Egyptian decor.
Tower Rooms: Twin 22-story towers (the latest resort addition) have 1,948 rooms with 237 suites luxuriously appointed and boast spectacular city views.

After success in New York, Boston, and Chicago this troop pulled out all the stops for Las Vegas, where the Luxor gave them twice as many seats to fill. Blue Man Group consists of three men in skullcaps and cobalt blue face (and head) paint which stays wet, giving them an eerie "alive from the inside out" look. They never speak.

Blue Man Group is theater, but not the kind you might expect. The show is artistic and colorful, but in a very abstract way. Blue Man Group is an all-ages show, but much of it would be lost on preteens and while containing no language or vile acts, the show might overwhelm children.

Luxor Las Vegas has once again opened the doors to what has been called the greatest archaeological find in the history of the world, an authentic reproduction of King Tutankhamun's tomb. The measurements of each of the rooms are exact. The treasures therein were reproduced by artisans using the same gold leaf and linens, precious pigments, tools and original 3,300-year-old methods, and each is meticulously positioned according to the records maintained by the Carter expedition.
