Denver Zoo is located in City Park and is home to over 3,000 animals representing 600 species. It had its beginnings back in 1896 when a brown bear cub was presented to the Major of Denver as a gift. Today it is the 7th most diverse zoo in the United States.

Tropical Discovery - 22,000 square foot tropical rain forest habitat all inside a glass-enclosed pyramid. Home to over 240 animal species.
Northern Shores - sea lion and river otter habitat.
Primate Panorama - 7-acre natural habitat is home to 29 species of primates ranging from 6-ounce pygmy marmoset to 580-pound lowland gorillas. Other primates living here are orangutans, mandrills, monkeys and lemurs.
Dragons of Komodo - new zoo exhibit with four of these big monsters. The largest indoor Komodo Dragon exhibit in the world.
Frog Exhibit - New in 1999.
Fun Train - tram makes na tours of the most popular zoo exhibits.

December Wildlights - Over 1 million sparkling lights twinkle beneath the December night sky. Holiday music and animal light sculptures. (December : 5:30PM - 9PM)
