Denver Art Museum

Seven stories of world-class art, including a renowned American Indian
collection as well as European, American and Western paintings,
sculpture, photography and decorative art, traveling exhibitions, and
daily tours.
Colorado History Museum

Various exhibits on state history including a
large diorama of Denver circa 1860. Located as part of the
Civic Center Cultural Complex.
Colorado State Capitol

Free Guided Tour - weekdays 9AM-3:30PM / lasts about 45 minutes;
A brass plaque on on the 18th street, marks the exact elevation at 5,280 feet - exactly one mile above sea level. If you feel in great shape you can try to climb the 93 steps to the top of the gold-plated capitol dome.
Colorado Governor's Mansion
400 E. Eighth Ave., Denver, CO; (303) 837-8350;
Built originally as a private residence in 1907 but donated to the state of Colorado for use as governor's mansion in 1960. It is a good sample of Colonial Revival architecture and has artwork from around the world. Call for tour time.
Four Mile Historic Park
715 S. Forest St, Denver, CO; (303) 399-1859;
Site of a former stagestop and Denver's oldest standing home, originally built in 1859. Also includes a living history farmstead with special events periodically thru the year.
Fairmount Cemetary
430 S. Quebec St, Denver, CO; (303) 399-0692;
360-acre private cemetary established in 1890. Final resting place for former mayors, civil war veterans, socialites, gunfighters and many other promenent citizens of Denver.
United State Mint
320 W. Colfax Ave, Denver, CO; (303) 405-4761;
Open: Mon-Fri 8AM-2:45PM; Free Admission;
The Mint produces over 10 billion coins each year and is one of the most popular tourism attractions in Denver. Free 15-minute tours are conducted weekdays and start from the Cherokee Street entrance. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult and absolutely no photography is allowed.
