Of particular interest is Nassau's Straw Market located on Bay Street which specializes in native handicrafts made from straw, wood, conch shells and coconut shells.
The numerous coves along New Providence Island create natural pools ideal for swimming and snorkeling. There is also a 142-mile long underwater coral reef famous for its "blue holes", freshwater springs that well to the surface. Paradise Island has many fine beaches of its own.
Great opportunities for Outdoor Recreation including: camping, diving, fishing and boating.
