    BSA Firebird District covers Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Buckeye, Gila Bend, Tonopah, and west to the Maricopa County Border - 100 Scouting units, 1,400 youth, and 700 adult volunteers.

    Each District holds a monthly Roundtable Meeting for all Scoutmasters, Cubmasters, Den Leaders and their assistants. Learn about leader training, scout activities, new programs, camporees and much more for your area. Info for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Varsity, and Venturing Unit Leaders.

    The cub scout program builds desirable qualities of character, citizenship, fellowship and personal fitness through a local community organization. Phe Pack (all the dens) meet approximately 4 times a month for meetings, fun activities, and trips.

    Pack 64 is sponsored by Trinity Lutheran Church and is focused on character, citizenship, family, and fun. Key Pack events include the Litchfield Park Christmas Parade, Blue and Gold Banquet, Spring and Fall Campouts, Pinewood Derby, Rocket Day, and Crossover ceremony.

    This is one of the finest swimming and diving pools in the valley. It features a large, circular pool slide, as well as two fountain play areas as you enter the zero depth pool.

    Phoenix International Raceway [PIR]

    This one-mile, low-banked tri-oval race track located in Avondale, first opened in 1964. PIR currently hosts two NASCAR race weekends annually. PIR has also hosted the Indycar Series, CART, USAC and the Rolex Sports Car Series.

    The Maricopa Trail
    Maricopa County Parks & Recreation
    A giant loop trail surrounding the greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area that connects a great number of the best wilderness regional parks. Many opportunities for a multi-day high-adventure backpacking survival trek. This includes a link to Buckeye Hills Regional Park and Estrella Mountain Regional Park.

    Consisting of 4,474 acres of natural desert, the park is located in the southwest Valley. Enjoy the rolling hills of pristine Sonoran Desert, with beautiful views of the Gila River riparian area. The park has restrooms but currently there is no running water or electricity available in the park.
    This park has trailhead connections to the Maricopa Trail and Sonoran Desert National Monument.
