| ![]() Williams is a town named after early mountain man Bill Williams. Today it is a resort town marking a major entrance to Grand Canyon National Park. Nearby are many ski and wintersport recreation areas. Cataract, Kaibab Dog Trail and White Horse offer camping, picnicking and fishing. Williams local attractions include the historic Grand Canyon Railway Depot, Deer Farms, Elephant Rocks Golf Course and the Williams Ski Area.
Vintage locomotives and classic train cars take you across ever-changing terrain to
the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Onboard are strolling musicians, cowboys and refreshments.
Museum at the restored 1908 Williams Depot covers railroading history.
The 1910 Grand Canyon depot is built of pine logs. Many guests arrange for an extended overnight stay
at a Grand Canyon Lodge.

One of six National Forests in Arizona operating under the care of the USDA Forest Service. Whether it's a visit to Sycamore Canyon, Kendrick Mountain or Kanab Creek, visitors will not be disappointed with the natural pleasures that await in the Kaibab National Forest.

Nestled on the most northern tip of the northland`s Sycamore Canyon, the 160+arcres of Camp Raymond offers some prime hiking opportunities that you can`t find at other camps with trail hikes from 2 to 12 miles. Enjoy an outdoor experience surrounded by the pine forests of Northern Arizona. This camp is located midway between the Kaibab and Coconino Forests. Program Areas include a swimming pool, handicraft ramada, full shooting sports, shotgun shooting, Scoutcraft ramada, a great C.O.P.E. course, and a wonderful commissioner service. Special programs are available for every age Scout from 11 to 18.
