    Prince of Wales International Marathon - Craig AK [MAY]
    Prince of Wales Island, located in Southeast Alaska, is the third-largest island in the United States. Affectionately known by locals as POW, Prince of Wales is roughly 2,600 square miles and is home to nearly 6,000 residents and ten communities. The marathon is an island-wide event; it is organized and staffed by volunteers from many of the different communities.

    Mayor's Marathon - Anchorage AK [JUN]
    Alaska's biggest and best Marathon and Half Marathon.
    A favorate local annual event since 1973 - features a field of over 3800 runners and is co-sponsored by the City of Anchorage and the University of Alaska. Other events include the Marathon Relay, 5-miler and Youth Cup.

    King Salmon Marathon - Cordova AK [Early Jul]
    A major part of annual festival to celebrate the local salmon fishing industry is the Copper River Wild running series featuring marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K runs. The race course is mostly flat, and follows the old Copper River railroad route which led to the Kennicott Copper mines.

    Equinox Marathon - Fairbanks AL [AUG]
    One of the most northern latitude marathon races ever, the Equinox has run every year since 1963.

    Humpy's Marathon - Anchorage AK [AUG]
    Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K Race - All three events start at Humpy's Great Alaskan Ale House in Downtown Anchorage.
    Our participants only encounter one mile of roads (the first half-mile outbound and the last half-mile inbound), and then never have to worry about crossing streets or competing with cars, and there is plenty of beautiful scenery to stimulate the senses as the trail takes you through wooded vistas and alongside historic Cook Inlet.

    Maui Marathon [SEP]
    The Maui Marathon course is undoubtedly one of the most scenic marathon courses in the world with over 17 miles of oceanfront running. The race starts in the darkness so that you can witness the beauty of a Hawaiian sunrise while running.

    Las Vegas International Marathon [DEC]
    This race starts outside the Mandalay Bay Resort and runs the length of the Las Vegas Strip to the Fremont Street Experience and then west Torrey Pines Dr and back to the Mandalay Bay. There is also a Half Marathon. Many of Las Vegas' famous celebrity performers provide live entertainment during the race.

    Honolulu Marathon [DEC]
    Est. 1973. The Honolulu Marathon was the country’s third largest marathon last year with 24,575 finishers. Events include fitness expo at the Honolulu Convention Center and all you can eat Laua dinner and concert featuring Hawaiian music, dance show and special guest performer. The Honolulu Marathon's scenic course includes spectacular ocean views alongside world-famous Waikiki Beach, and Diamond Head

    Gold Nugget Triathlon - Ft Richardson AK [MAY]
    Race begins at Bartlett High School with a 500-yard pool swim, followed by 10 mile bike course to Moose Run Golf Course and then a 4.1 mile run all at lovely Fort Richardson just northeast of Anchorage.

    Eagle River Triathlon - Chugiak AK [JUN]
    Race starts with swim at the Chugiak High School, followed by two out and back bike loops and ends with a nice competitative run - northeast of Anchorage AK.

    Moose Nugget Duathlon - Anchorage AK [JUL]
    This race starts with short, hilly a 2.5K trail run around Little Campbell Lake. Then a 10.9 mile hilly bike trail course around Kincaid Park. Ends with 3.1 mile run. If you want to hit lots of hills, this race has it.

    Hammerman Triathlon - Anchorage AK [JUL]
    Turkey Toe Events hosts this race at Kincaid Park with sprint-distance, off-road triathlon offering up a 0.5-mile lake swim, 10.9-mile mountain bike, and a 3.1-mile trail run. A grueling assortment of hills insures a true athletic challenge.

    Lavaman Triathlon - Kona Coast HI [APR]
    Since inception in 1998, this olympic course triathlon has grown into a multi-sports festival extravanganza based at the at the beautiful Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Kohala Coast, Hawaii Big Island.

    Big Dog Duathlon - Wasilla, AK [AUG]
    The duathlon will feature a 5-K run, followed by a 40-K road bike, and a 10-K run.

    Alaska State Triathlon - Wasilla, AK [AUG]
    the Northern Trust Triathlon, Alaska's State Triathlon Championships - 1500M swim, 40K bike, 10K run.

    Las Vegas Triathlon [SEPT]
    Spring Course / Olympic Course / Half Ironman Course featured annually since 1999;
    Start with swim in Lake Mead's Boulder Beach followed by scenic bike and running course along the westshore of the lake.

    Big Kahuna Triathlon - Santa Cruz CA [SEP]
    The Swim Segment is a 1.2-mile open ocean swim clockwise around the Santa Cruz Wharf. Then a 56-mile scenic tour of the California coastline on famous Highway 1 to the Pigeon Point Lighthouse and return. Followed by a challenging half marathon run through Natural Bridges State Park.

    Iditarod Dog Sled Race - Anchorage AK [FEB]
    Over 1,150 miles of the most extreme Alaskan terrain and weather including tall mountain ranges, white-out blizzards, frozen rivers, dense forests, desolate tundra and windswept coastline. The Iditarod is the most popular sporting event in Alaska, and the top mushers and their teams of dogs are local celebrities.

    Tahoe Rim Trail 50K and 50 Miler [JULY]
    This event is run in some of the high elevation alpine and sub-alpine regions of the magnificent Sierra Nevada Mountains. Both distances begin and end at the Spooner Lake State Park, which is at 7,000 feet.

    Western States 100 - Squaw Valley CA [JUN]
    Started in 1973 the WSER is one of the oldest of all endurance runs - starting at Squaw Valley, California, and ending in Auburn, California, a total of 100 miles. WSER is one of the key events that have helped Auburn, CA, earn the title of Endurance Capital of the World. Most of the trail passes through remote and rugged territory, accessible only to hikers, horses and helicopters.

    Badwater Ultra Marathon [JULY]
    135 miles - 130 degrees - 6 hours

    A true "challenge of the champions," this legendary foot race pits approximately 80 of the world’s toughest athletes – runners, triathletes, adventure racers, and mountaineers – against one another and the elements. It is the most demanding and extreme running race offered anywhere on the planet.
